Summertime and the living is hot

It has been over 100 degrees most days for the past few weeks. Mama has been keeping me inside the house a lot more. I am kind of bummed about this. I love to run and chase bunnies  and birdies!


I am getting more time with the toddler though. She likes to play with me a lot, and we are playing catch a lot better than we used to. The toddler doesn't throw very far, but she is learning. I appreciate that.

She also likes to check my vital signs with her first aid kit. Maybe she is planning to be a vet someday. That would be ok with me! Free doggie checkups!

She still likes to put her fingers close to my eyes, but she is very gently, and I don't mind too much. I really love snuggle time though. The toddler does too. Here we are snuggling it up.

It wasn't too long ago that I got to start playing with that baby/toddler on the floor. She just learned to walk not long ago, so it wasn't ok for me to be around her yet, at least without mom and dad hanging over me the whole time. Babies are interesting to me, but I want to put my paws on them for pets.. they don't like that I guess. 

The Good Life

The toddler used to be a pain, crying all the time and such. But now she likes to play with me, and we lay on the floor when we get tired. We talk about our day and discuss ways to get the tissue box from momma. We love tissues. Both of us.

Hanging out with the toddler can be such a blast. She leaves all these little puff treats all over the house for me, isn't that nice? Momma doesn't like it, but I sure do.

We like a lot of the same kind of toys.. Balls, squeaky things and gummy chew toys. Yum. Apparently, that toddler likes my toys, and I like hers. I think this is great. We share chew toys. Momma screams and freaks out and says something about boiling and antiseptic and dog germs... I didn't know toddlers had dog germs. Don't worry momma, that baby won't get me sick!

I like kisses with that baby too. She smells good, and I am very gentle with her.
